Happy New Year!
Welcome 2010! I hope you are all enjoying the day off and are busy writing up your New Years Resolutions. I am still at home in the western mountains of Maine enjoying family and lots and lots of snow. We are currently slated to get up to 2 feet in the next few days which may impede my ability to get back to Boston.

While the weather has been exciting, the food being consumed definitely deserves a mention. There has been a lot of soup and bread
Homemade Biscotti,
Tea,
Yogurt and Granola,
and sweet potato!
I haven’t really been photographing as much as I usually do since I have been focused on outdoor activities such as cross country skiing,
(on the coldest day of the year, -20 degrees with the windchill!)
and some late night sledding!
In other new,s Karin from “Give Me Bananas”, a truly awesome blog that I LOVE, is on vacation in Japan and asked me to do a guest post for her. I was totally excited by the chance and of course said yes! If you visit today you will see the Curried Butternut Squash soup I have been eating for lunch pretty much every day of vacation. I recommend making up a batch, it’s super healthy, hearty and lasts forever!

What a beautiful setting! It looks so picturesque and perfect for this time of year. Have fun and stay warm! Happy New Year!
That snow is so pretty. Hope you’re having fun. I’ve always wanted to try cross country skiing; I’ve only done downhill.
Hey hey! Happy new year
Check out all that beautiful snow, my goodness it looks gorgeous up there! -20 degrees sounds insane, I def have never felt that before woahhhh… hope you continue having a great time and safe travels home
LOVE your cute bowls! So cute.
Looks like a great way to spend the holidays!
Um, I NEED that biscotti recipe
I love that you are taking advantage of this miserable cold. I really should try skiing or snowboarding again. It makes this season that much more exciting, don’t you think?
Oh my, what beautiful photos! Glad you are having so much fun, Happy New Year!
Such pretty snow! I love that first picture
Even though I live in a country that’s famous for it’s ski resorts I’ve never gone cross country skiing! Over here it has the reputation of being an activity for elder people even though it seems like such a great workout!!
Thanks for the shout out by the way – I loved your guest post.
