Clean and Classic
This morning my stomach was feeling just a slight bit off so I figured it best to stick with the basics. A cup of hot green tea and a bowl of Barbara’s Shredded Oats with almond milk.
This breakfast gave me just enough of a boost to get out the door for a nice and easy 5 mile run. It was another glorious fall day in Boston and I enjoyed my run along Jamaica Pond. Immediately upon my return home I hopped on my foam roller with an apple in hand, and took care of my leg muscles. BEST THING EVER!
All of my eats so far today have been very simple and clean. I was craving veggies on my run so I knew that lunch would be a huge pile of spinach and carrots. I threw some feta and balsamic on top for good measure and good flavor.
This giant plate was eaten with 2 Akmak crackers (found at TJ’s, love these!) while watching the latest Office episode. Sometimes a good old fashioned salad is such a welcome treat and there is nothing I like better than piling the salad fixings on crackers.
Dessert was a cookie on my way out the door. I had some work related things to attend to this afternoon which actually ended up being quite enjoyable. I got to catch up with some old co-workers who I hadn’t seen in awhile.
After my meeting and a few more errands, I came home and was craving hot tea.
And I wanted a Glo Bar so I had one of those too! This flavor was outstanding! I mean they all are but I really really liked the Chunky Peanut Butter n’ Chocolate. How does she do it!? Seriously, there so good.
This evening Darin and I have plans to go out to dinner. I am looking forward to this since we haven’t really hung out all week with our different work schedules. I told him that it was his pick and my treat so we’ll see what ends up transpiring. I also am heading to Rhode Island bright and early tomorrow morning with my parentals. We will be visiting my grandmother which I am looking forward to since I haven’t seen her since this summer! Posting may continue to be a little sporadic so stay with me.

Your day of eats look so healthy! The chunky PB and chocolate bars were my fave as well- aren’t they out of this world? And i love that you dont have to feel guilty for eating them!
I have a foam roller too, and I use it roll out my back and relax my neck. I should be using it on my legs as well because i know it opens up tight ligaments. They are lifesavers!
Have so much fun at dinner- I love surprises!
Oh I can’t wait to catch-up with the latest office
Have a great trip!
I hope you have a wonderful date night out tonight! How sweet of you to treat your man AND let him pick
I haven’t heard anyone else call them “parentals” besides myself in so long – that just made me smile. Have a wonderful weekend girl!
Yay Rhode Island! Sakonnet should be beautiful. your cookies look delicious. Can you think of good yoga stretches that stretch the back? Ive been doing cat and childs but thought id see what your expertise thought.
A fellow Rhode Island Lover! hmmm… Cat and Cow are great in my opinion for the back! And I am flattered but I am definitely no expert.
That glo bar is calling my name! I love how you photographed it amidst the greens – very organic looking. I think after seeing that little glimps of Pam’s face, I need to go watch the office.
Enjoyed seeing the photos from Shelter Island. Have a good trip to Rhode Island!
The chocolate green superfood sounds interesting. Have you tried it?
P.S. Granny has enjoyed keeping up with you, and she hopes all is well with you and Darin.
have fun in RI! guess we will have to wait til another weekend to get together.
I love all of your greens & that apple
hope you had a fun time at dinner!
Barbara’s shredded oats are one of my favorite cereals. They remind me of quaker oatmeal squares, but better! I may be picking them (or peanut butter puffins) up as my next box…since my shredded spoonfuls are almost out! Barbara’s the best
hahaaa….
And yum! So jealous of your glo bars! These past two posts have almost convinced me to order some for myself, no matter how expensive! I can only imagine how delicious they must be with yogurt and peanut butter, or just plain! I’m not a coffee fanatic either but loooove coffee-flavored things and a hot mug every week or so!
Hope you have/had fun with Darin! The salad creation also looks amazing ! As your pictures always do.
Salad & Crackers! Gotta love this combo
Your foam roller pic reminded me of something – a friend borrowed mine about one year ago! need to ask her to give it back to me!
